There is probably no better destination in the world for a memorable family trip than Costa Rica. Our family vacation combines nature with comfortable accommodation and something interesting for every family member. Discover Costa Rica´s rainforest and superb waterfalls on route to the most active volcano in the country. Travel across the jungle canopy on an educative walk and enjoy the hot springs before relaxing at the pristine pacific beaches. Howler monkeys, butterflies, frogs and a huge variety of exciting activities will make of this trip something to remember.
Day-by-Day Description Itinerary:

Day 1.Arrive in Costa Rica followed by private transfer to Don Carlos Hotel or similar for the first night in Costa Rica. This is the time to ask our representative all the questions you want **and what is to come on your special trip. Located in the oldest historical section of San José, the Don Carlos Hotel is a small, but significant part of Costa Rica’s rich heritage. Once upon a time residence for two past Presidential families, the historical Hotel Don Carlos’ warmth and** charm, graciously awaits you. Accommodation in Superior Room. (B)


Day 2. There will be time for breakfast before you leave for your visit to La Paz Waterfalls Gardens Park. With over 2 miles of walking trails and many different attractions such as the Aviary, Butterfly Observatory, Hummingbird Garden, Serpentarium, Frog Exhibit and much more, this is an excellent place for a lunch stop (Included). Your family will have time to explore the different waterfalls of the Park before you continue across the countryside to Arenal Volcano. Active since 1968, the Arenal Volcano covers nearly 80% of the National Park with secondary and primary rainforest with abundant flora and fauna. You will stay at the Lost Iguana Resort located near the famous Hanging Bridges Park and providing an amazing view from your room to the perfect cone. Accommodation in a Standard Deluxe Volcano View Room (B-L)


Day 3. Breakfast at Hotel (Included) followed by a group guided tour of the Arenal Hanging Bridges Park located only minutes to the hotel. This tour is an excellent way to learn about a natural environment that has been undiscovered until lately. The trails along with the suspension bridges cover nearly two miles inside a mountainous zone. You will be able to admire the great diversity of flora and fauna typically of the rain forest before heading back to the hotel for lunch (not included) and time to rest before your afternoon activity.

This is the time for your family to explore the Arenal Volcano National Park, and to hike to the base of this impressive active volcano. You will be transported to the active northwest side of the volcano to learn about the volcanic history and to observe the magnificent lava rock formations from past eruptions. There will be an opportunity to have a closer view of the activity in the evening from a safe position, and finally you can complete the day with a relaxing visit to the hot springs. Costa Rica hot springs are world famous for their invigorating mineral waters. Dinner is included. Return to Lost Iguana Resort for your second night in Arenal. (B-D)

Days 4. Breakfast at Hotel (Included) followed by private transfer down to the middle Pacific Coast of Costa Rica to the Tulemar Bungalows for your beach stay.The Tulemar Bungalows has a private beach in a protected bay. As a guest at Tulemar Bungalows, kayaks and snorkeling equipment are for your exclusive use. Turtle Trap Beach Bar ensures that you don't have to go far to order your favorite cocktail or satisfy the rumbling in your stomach while you relax at the beach and watch the kids play. Accommodation in an Ocean View Bungalow (B)

Day 5. Breakfast at Hotel (Included) followed by a guided tour the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park and its pristine beaches.  Although it is the country's smallest national park, the stunning beauty and diversity of wildlife in its 683 hectares is unequaled. Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of rain forest, beaches and coral reefs. These beaches are some of the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest and warn waters providing good chances for snorkeling. The forest is home for abundant wildlife including Sloths, Iguanas, Whiteface monkeys and millions of colorful Crabs. Visiting the park is also an excellent option for a morning activity. Additional tours such as canopy, natural history walks, horseback riding or a Sunset Sail can be coordinated.   Please contact us for more information. Day 6. Breakfast at Hotel (Included) with day at leisure. Manuel Antonio area offers just about all activities you can imagine from surfing lessons to nature boat trips. Details for additional activities can be provided upon request.


Day 7. Breakfast at Lodge (Included) with early morning at leisure before private transfer to Alta Hotel for the last night in Costa Rica. The Alta is a small boutique hotel that consists of only 23 rooms. The beautifully sculpted hotel cascades down the hill (Alto de Las Palomas) providing exquisite views of San Jose and the surrounding volcanoes and valley.  The carved look melds different styles --- Spanish-Moorish medieval, countryside elegant  --- into one graceful structure.  The vaulted ceilings in the Paseo and wide stone stairway lead castle-like from the reclusive guest rooms to La Luz Restaurant. Day 8. Breakfast at Hotel (not applicable for early departure flights) followed by private transfer to international Airport for your return flight home.
